What Is a Day Program at Living Hope Care?
A day program is a structured, community-based service that supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, social skills, and meaningful daily routines.
At Living Hope Care, our Supported Community Connections (SCC) Day Program helps participants stay active, connected, and engaged through planned activities, community outings, volunteer opportunities, and skill-building experiences. The program is designed to promote personal growth, confidence, and social interaction while supporting each person’s individual goals.
Our day program provides a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where individuals can explore interests, develop life skills, and build positive relationships within their community.
Living Hope Care
At Living Hope Care, our Supported Community Connections (SCC) Day Program goes beyond basic activities. We offer a wide variety of engaging, meaningful experiences designed to build confidence, encourage independence, and support each person’s interests. From creative activities and life-skills classes to cooking, wellness, recreation, and community outings, our programs are personalized to reflect what each individual enjoys and wants to learn.
We understand that building friendships and social connections can be challenging—especially for individuals who live in supported settings or spend much of their time working or receiving other services. That is why we intentionally create opportunities throughout the day for connection, teamwork, and shared experiences, with caring staff providing guidance and encouragement to help participants develop healthy and meaningful relationships.
Our approach is centered on flexibility and choice. Participants are not limited to one location or a fixed routine. Through our SCC services, individuals may take part in community volunteering, social and recreational activities, skill-building opportunities, and individualized support based on what best fits their goals, schedule, and lifestyle.
This flexible and person-centered approach allows everyone to participate fully—regardless of their living situation, work schedule, or level of support needed.Care Difference
